I fail daily.
I ask for forgiveness a lot!
I have so much to learn.
I could tell you what NOT to do, I could tell you that the years go by fast, which they do!
Being a wife and mother was all I wanted to do, It was my dream.
When I found out I was pregnant I was so excited, that I started dreaming about what kind of mother I would be. I realized very quickly once I became a mom, that my mom made mothering look easy!
If I asked you to give me a definition of what a mother is, what would you say?
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
As mothers, we point our children back to Jesus. We correct them and teach them, we care for them and lead by example. This is something I am learning to do each day. But…
That's what we are called to do… EVERY GOOD WORK
I will not grow weary of doing good! 'So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. '
Galatians 6:9
“Don’t grow weary in doing good, in due season you will reap a harvest!” I can bring glory to God in all that I do and say because God will use scripture to equip you and prepare you! Feeding-Diaper changes-Cleaning-Laundry-Cooking
In the infant years, and toddler years as they grow God will also grow you as a mother. He will mold you into the mother he created you to be!
There is so much we can learn as mothers from God’s word in our day-to-day mundane moments.! I encourage you to Put little verses up where you will see them as you are doing the mundane tasks throughout your day! Repeat the verses in your mind when the enemy tries to speak lies to you. You can speak God’s truth!
If you allow God to do work in your life and mold you into the mother, sister, or friend, he has desired you to be. Because it says in his word, remember all scripture is God-breathed -” And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 I find it so comforting that God will keep his promise and finish the work that he started in each one of us!
You may feel like you aren’t qualified for the season you are stepping into but God has already prepared you for it. Lean into Jesus every step of the way and he will give you the strength to get through it.
